Standard Testing Services

InVitro International represents decades of experience and scientific expertise performing Ocular/ Dermal Irritection® Assay System and Corrositex® testing. Our products are convenient laboratory test kits that permit accurate and cost-effective detection of irritating or corrosive substances. If you don’t have time or laboratory space to perform the test, we are happy to do it for you.
The Company’s products include the following:

Ocular/Dermal Irritection® Assay System

This advanced technology system replaces and significantly enhances the Company’s former Eytex and Skintex products. We offer a variety of applications which help meet GHS requirements where these assays assess ocular and/or dermal irritation. The Irritection® Assay System utilizes an automated plate reader, for speed and throughput, and customized Windows software, for automatic transfer and analysis of data, thus providing accurate and reproducible results in as few as 24 hours.

Corrositex®

A Department of Transportation (DOT) and GHS approved corrosivity test which, in fewer than 4 hours, permits assignment of GHS Category 1A, 1B & 1C and United Nations (U.N.) Packing Group classifications I, II, III or Non-Corrosive for Class 8 corrosives. Corrositex® is also accepted by United Nations (UN) GHS, EU/OECD, Consumer Products Safety Commission, EPA, European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods (ECVAM), FDA,IATA, OSHA and Transport Canada.

Customized Technology Services

In addition to these standard products, the company offers Customized  Technology Services (CTS). This laboratory group provides two important services:

CTS functions as an independent testing laboratory for companies which choose to outsource their irritancy and corrosivity testing requirements. CTS provides consultation during every phase of your Irritection® Assay System testing process. Upon receiving a testing assignment, CTS scientists will analyze laboratory service samples of your materials and when appropriate establish customized test protocols for them.

If you plan to install Irritection® technology in your own facility, CTS management will prepare adetailed proposal that includes specific recommendations for implementation of the Irritection technology. After installation of the system, the CTS group will continue to provide consultation and assistance to meet all of your in-house irritancy testing needs.
